She Talks

Olivia has found her voice! She wakes up talking and doesn't stop until she goes to sleep at night. She talks to us, her toys, and Doug. At least I have company while I'm stuck inside from all the snow.

Ready for Bed

Last night, I could hear Erik laughing when he was getting Olivia ready for bed. I walked in to see how things were going and this is how I found them.

Roll Over Olivia

Olivia rolled over for the first time last week! Today she rolled over to the left and the right. Nice job, Olivia!

Snow Day

It snowed all night and we woke up this morning to a foot of snow (fun to play in not fun to shovel). We missed the blizzard a couple weeks ago, so this is the most snow we have seen in years. Erik stayed home from work, so we are enjoying the day being snowed in. I think Douglas is enjoying it more than the rest of us. He loves the cold weather and running through the snow. We wanted to take Olivia out, but it is a little too windy and cold for her. I think we are going to try and take her on a snow adventure this weekend when it's not snowing anymore.

We made a video of Doug playing in the snow!

Olivia and I played inside while Erik shoveled!

California

We just got back from our first trip to California. After all the stress of packing and worrying about the flight with Olivia, she did great. We got really lucky on the way there and had a whole row to ourselves. It was nice to lay her down in the middle seat, so she could stretch and kick her legs around. The only setback on the way there was that we had to stop in Vegas to refuel because of the strong headwind, but Olivia handled it well.

Once we were in California, we did a lot of eating (In-n-Out) and hanging out with the Adams family. Olivia got to meet all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins!

Olivia doesn't know it yet, but she had a great first Christmas. I had fun opening all of her presents! We couldn't fit anything in our bags, so we had to ship all of her presents back east. I can't wait for the box to come because it will be like Christmas all over again!

Scott, you made the blog!
