10 Weeks

I can't believe how much Olivia has changed these past few weeks. We recently found out that she is allergic to cow's milk, so I am now on a dairy free diet. Since I stopped eating dairy, she is a new woman. She is so much happier now that her stomach doesn't hurt anymore. She is always talking, moving her legs around, and she learned how to put her hands in her mouth.

Last weekend we babysat Jonah for the afternoon. I think we will wait a little while before we have our next kid!

Last Day of School

Today was our last day of our new mommy class. We were sad to say goodbye to all our new friends, but we're going to try to stay in touch. Olivia and I start our next class in January!

First Thanksgiving

Last week we made the journey down to Pennsylvania to spend Thanksgiving with my family. I was worried about the long car ride, but Olivia did great. She slept most of the trip:) Once we were in Yardley, Olivia got to meet her great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends.

I can't believe Olivia will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. She is growing and changing everyday. Last night, she slept for 6 hours straight! It was a great night for all of us! She makes many new sounds (lots of coos) and smiles. Olivia recently discovered she has legs and loves to lay on her activity mat and kick them around.

Tutu's in Town

This was one of the best and worst weeks we've had with Olivia. I started off the week with a cold which turned into a stomach virus. I won't get into too many details, but it wasn't fun trying to feed Olivia while hanging over the toilet! I managed to talk Erik into staying home for part of the day when I was sick, so that helped us get through it. I was much better by the middle of the week just in time for the arrival of Tutu (Grandma Tanya). It was so much fun to have her here and have Olivia spend time with her. While Tutu was here, we managed to get out of the house and venture into Harvard Square, walk around Boston, and even go out to lunch and dinner. It was all much easier for Olivia then it was for me, but we did it!!! Hopefully, this week is better!

1 Month

We have been giving Olivia sponge baths for the past few weeks, but this week she went in her new tub! She loves the water and having her hair shampooed. She enjoyed the bath so much that she cried when we took her out!

On Monday we started going to a class called Great Beginnings. It is for moms and babies who are between 2 and 10 weeks old. There are 10 moms and babies in the class. This week we learned some infant massage and talked about new mom stuff. After class we went out to lunch with the other moms and babies. Olivia and I were out and about most of the day! I'll try to take pictures next Monday of all the babies together!

3 weeks!

At 3 weeks Olivia's favorite things are eating, sleeping, pooping, and crying. She is getting so big and already growing out of some of her NB clothes. I guess we'll need to go shopping! She is becoming more alert and has the best facial expressions. She can be very entertaining when she's awake.

These past few weeks she has met many new friends, gone on many walks, shopped at Babies R Us (twice), and even had her first play date.

Olivia at Home

Hi everyone! As all of you know, after 41 hours of labor Olivia Rachel Adams was born on October 5th at 2:42 pm. She was 6 lbs 15 oz at birth, but is now up to 7 lbs 2 oz! We went to our second pediatrician appointment last Friday and she is doing great.

My mom was a huge help these past two weeks, so we'll see how we do on our own this week. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out how to get out of the house between feedings and diaper changes. We're trying to go on one outing a day even if its a walk around the block with Doug. Doug is also adjusting to our new addition. He loves her, but misses the attention he got when he was the only child.

Here are some pictures of Olivia.
